This book will be available at the conference.

Electives

Session 1

  • People love stories. Jesus taught in stories. Bible storytelling equips you to evangelise by letting God's words speak for themselves. You'll come away from this seminar with one Bible story up your sleeve!

  • Everyone loves a good story! Stories cross cultures and communities. Good stories engage our imaginations and emotions. Telling your own story can be a powerful way to present someone with a living portrait of a person who has come to Christ. This workshop will help you tell 2 stories- a story about Jesus, and a story about you coming to Jesus, and how to link those 2 stories.

  • We need to be more than welcoming as a church to see our community come to a saving knowledge of Jesus. It’s great we can invite our friends and neighbours. How will the 1000s of others hear of Jesus? Door knocking is a great way to reach those that won’t get invited to church. It feels hard and it might be hard to imagine it bearing fruit. This workshop will work through some ways to give it a go in a loving way including some practical exercises.

  • Sharing your faith at work or school can be scary! We have very real fears, ranging from "What if I say the wrong thing?", through to "How will I work with this person if I offend them?" or even "Will I lose my job?"

    In this seminar, we'll consider a motivation and framework for reaching out to people at work, uni, or school;

    -Overcoming fear; Why sharing our faith at work is worthwhile.

    -Listening, caring, and understanding; Where are people at?

    -Prayerful preparation; What do people need to hear?

    -Tactful conversations; How to start, when to stop, and what if you don't know what to say next?"

Kids Program

We are encouraging all youth (year 6+) to participate in sessions. We will also be running a basic kids program alongside the morning program.
