I'm proud of you!

I wanted to use this column to say a big thank you to the many people who serve Jesus across our church. As I was reflecting recently, I really was quite humbled.

1 Corinthians 12 talks about the body of Christ working together: Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person
(1 Cor. 12:4–6).

And I have been thinking about the many people that work tirelessly in different teams to reach our community with the message of Jesus. Dozens of people were involved in making Toonie Kids Week happen, with just under 100 kids; 15 people worked together to perform the amazing Mark Drama just a few weeks ago; did you know that Sonia Richardson has started volunteering for about 15 hours a week in the office?; so many people worked to make mission week possible; teams work together for our regular ministries such as boomers, Kids at Play; MOTH crèche; Growth Group leaders; music teams; the building committee has been busy at work …. The list really is a very long one. Some jobs, like cleaning are more behind the scenes.

But the common element is serving Jesus. TAC is a great community to belong to, and I take this opportunity to thank all who contribute in some way to make this so.
