If I was God...
Welcome to the culmination of our “If I Were God …” week.
If you were God, what would you do? Different people have many different responses. For some, it is relieving pain and suffering. For others, it is trying to make a difference in the world. For others again, it is an opportunity make the confusion about God clearer. And these examples are just scratching the surface.
If you were God, what would you do?
This week, we have been privileged to have Grant Retief with us to help engage in this very important question. Of course, we all know that we are not God. The reality hits us in sometimes powerful and confronting ways.
And for everyone, we inevitably come to a stage of realising that there is an opportunity to listen to what God is saying to us. In God’s plan, our last minute preacher last week, Ray Galea, spoke about this – God made it; we wrecked it; and Jesus fixed it.
This is the message of the Bible, and the reason we have put on an “If I were God …. “ week. We are a church community of ordinary people who have encountered the extraordinary God, through the forgiveness of Jesus. And our passion is for every person to similarly experience this extraordinary God, who gave his one and only Son for you.
