A couple of weeks ago, with the help of Robert O’Donohue, I ran a session designed to help people make sharing Jesus a part of their everyday life. You see, because we believe that each and every person needs to know and trust Jesus, the most important priority is sharing Jesus with people and praying that they will indeed trust Jesus. When we follow Jesus, we become his disciples, and we also take on Jesus’ mission for ourselves. We become disciples on mission, or missional disciples: always seeking to share Jesus with others.
Here are some comments people made about the session a couple of weeks ago.
“This session made it clear to me that this is exactly what Jesus wants us to do.”
“The ideas and tools you gave us were very helpful.”
“The interactive and discussion components were really helpful.”
“If you want more courage to tell people about Jesus, do the course.”
“I certainly learnt a whole heap of how ideas that I didn’t know.”
Particularly as we approach mission week with Grant Retief, I pray that each of us are attuned to the opportunities to share Jesus with people. Perhaps one of the easiest ways to do this is to invite people to an event during mission week. We have a smorgasbord of events that will appeal to different people. Who can you invite to hear about Jesus? Who can you pray that God will save?
Also, I’ll be running more sessions later in the year to help each of us make sharing Jesus a part of our everyday life.
