Share Jesus

There are almost 90,000 people living in the 2145 postcode, most of whom don’t yet know Jesus. We want to be an ‘ever growing diverse church family’. How might we see this happen under God? This is not simply about growing in numbers, but genuinely connecting with, caring for and holding out Jesus to those in our community and beyond.

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

Let’s pray for our community…

God has placed our church in this wonderfully diverse community. He has put people in our lives who don’t yet know Jesus. As we plant and water seeds of good news it is ultimately God who gives the growth (1 Cor 3:6). Therefore prayer must be foundational and continual in our efforts to share Jesus.

At the back of the church building, you’ll find our prayer cards. We’d love you to use them to pray for people around you. As we pray, let’s seek to:

Walk Up Evangelism

As part of our broader strategy to reach our community with the good news of Jesus, Clive will be joining us for quarterly training and walk up. We’d love to build a team of people who are committed to this for a year however anyone is welcome to join us for this to have a go.

Express your interest below.

And please join with us in praying that we might share Jesus with our community…

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are to be praised above all.

For it was while we were dead in our sin
that you poured out your love for us.
Through your Son’s death and resurrection,
You have given us new life, now and forever.

May we love others as you love us.
Give us your heart for people made in your image,
especially for those who don’t yet know you.

Guide us by your Spirit
as we connect with and care for others,
and as we share Jesus with them.

Lord, may you bring hundreds of people
from many nations in our community
into a saving knowledge of your Son.

Shape us and give us wisdom as a church,
so that we might be more like Christ
as we gather, as we are sent out and
as we partner with others across the world.

May we be a light on a hill
so that you would be honoured,
Father, Son and Spirit, forever and ever. Amen
